Anna has had a passion for singing since she was ten years old. She trained classically but began to get into Jazz during her latter school days, listening to artists including Diana Krall and Nina Simone. Also inspired by classic songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman, her blend of influences give her voice a unique tone- with both delicacy and depth. Whilst studying Music at Sussex University she worked, recorded and performed with various bands, alongside her own eponymous songwriting project which she still currently works on in London. Anna has performed at various prestigious venues including 93 Feet East and, The 100 Club and The Komedia, as well as at many weddings and functions throughout the UK Robbie's original musical passion was for the rhythm sections behind Funk and Soul legends such as James Brown and Stevie Wonder. It was when he stumbled upon the likes of Elvin Jones and the more contemporary Pat Metheny that he began to get excited about Jazz. Robbie also studied at Sussex University, where he met Anna. Robbie has played for an array of function bands and original bands, touring the UK and Europe. As well as playing for the London based Autumn Leaves, Robbie currently plays for a Funky three piece original band and a five piece covers band in Brighton. The Autumn Leaves Jazz Trio, London. |
